The Field Service Representative is responsible for on site installation, maintenance and support of Waters LC/MS products within southern Ontario. Furthermore the position holder will provide customer trainings on various aspects of the instruments usage and administer service plans.  The Field Service Representative has to issue case reports about the installation or service visits for documentation purposes and to start the internal Waters escalation process if necessary. The position holder has to interact with customers, Field Service Representatives and other resources within the Waters organization in order to quickly acquire and forward the relevant information to obtain and sustain customer satisfaction and loyalty. The position requires frequent traveling within the assigned region and the country as well as trips to the US and UK for training purposes.


  • Installation, maintenance and support of Waters LC/MS products
  • On site customer training
  • Forward and/or escalate issues to the appropriate departments within Waters
  • Manage service inventory according Waters policies
  • Issue field service reports on a daily basis
  • Complete and submit expense reports on a weekly basis
  • Maintain sound knowledge about the technology and customers application demands
  • Inform Sales force about Sales leads
  • Ensure that quality system procedures and Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times.




  • BSc in Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry previous Mass Spec experience would be a plus
  • Preference will be given to candidates with minimum of 2 years advanced training in electronic and mechanical principles
  • Strong interest/affinity and focus on effective system level problem solving
  • Sound knowledge of PC operating systems and computer network skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong drive to resolve open issues
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drivers license mandatory
